Support our Panhellenic sisters as they host Alpha Gam Week at Belmont!
It’s officially AST Week! We’re educating our community and building a sisterhood of service!
Check out our fabulous Sisters of the Week:
Maya Akser, Treasurer
Maddy Daniels, Philanthropy Chair
Taylor Smith, Campus Relations Chair

ASTs will be donning their green and yellow aprons for a bake sale on Thursday, January 26 in the Beaman Student Center from 11a.m. to 4p.m. All proceeds of the sweet treats sale will benefit the Susan G. Komen Foundation. The bake sale is part of a fundraiser for the upcoming Pink Zone women’s basketball game onSaturday, January 28, which also benefits the Komen Foundation.
Help AST go PINK for the Cure—support the bake sale, make a donation to Susan G. and attend the Belmont women’s game on Saturday! How will you help us find a cure?

For attractive lips, speak words of kindness,
for lovely eyes, seek out the good in people,
for a slim figure, share your food with the hungry,
for poise, walk with the knowledge you will never be alone.
People, even more than things, have to be restored, renewed, revived, reclaimed and redeemed.
Never throw out anyone.
It’s a new year filled with new beginnings, resolutions and positive change for the ASTs at Belmont.
The first business meeting of 2012 welcomed back sisters who had spent their fall semester studying abroad. AST is so blessed to have Aly Meisterling, Ali Klein, Chelsey Reardon, Chelsea Ruff, Meredith McKay and Maya Akser as active sisters this semester. While our sisterhood is always anchored—even abroad, we are so grateful to see their beautiful faces back in our group!
Changes in leadership mark another important new beginning for AST. The new Executive Council for our organization has officially accepted the challenge of leading more than 100 women (which is no small task…) with passion, excitement and dedication to our sorority. They have already put a points system in place to improve scholarship, attendance and sisterhood development. AST is proud and confident of how these women will shape and impact our organization in amazing ways.
Preparations are also underway for an annual AST event in partnership with Belmont Athletics and Belmont Women’s Basketball—the Pink Zone basketball game to benefit our local philanthropy, the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. ASTs may wear green and gold, but these Taus know how to “think pink.” Mark your calendars for Saturday, January 28 for the Pink Zone game—it’s a life-changing event that AST is grateful to be a part of!
Anchored in new leadership, opportunities and our strong sisterhood, the ASTs at Belmont—as usual—are ready to take on a new year with enthusiasm, class, style, and just a little bit of sass.
